Art direction and design for the Grammy Award–winning reggae album BLXXD & FYAH, including a custom Amharic title treatment, album packaging, artwork, merchandise, and promotional posters.
Approach
Drawing from multiple cultures; Rastafarian, African traditions, and Ethiopian typography, the visual language connects the album to histories of resistance and self-determination. The photographic art direction references Prince Alemayehu’s story, reflecting themes of displacement, identity, and colonial legacy.







OutcomeThe final design system transformed the album into a unified cultural artifact, connecting the music with a broader visual narrative.
