Through A Mirror, Darkly
 Exhibition Identity

2025
Visual identity for Through a Mirror, Darkly by Naeem Mohaiemen, commissioned by Artangel with Film and Video Umbrella and the Wexner Center for the Arts, designed to translate complex historical narratives into a clear, unified system across print, promotion, and exhibition spaces.
Approach
I developed a flexible identity rooted in the film’s ideas of fragmentation and perception. Layering, distortion, and subtle typographic disruption created visual tension, while a restrained palette and strong hierarchy maintained clarity and usability across formats.





OutcomeThe final system unified all touchpoints, from exhibition materials to environmental signage making the work more accessible while preserving its conceptual depth. It provided a consistent framework that supported both audience navigation and institutional collaboration.
